MSU College of Education recognizes outstanding teacher interns

 

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Eleven Mississippi State College of Education graduates recently were recognized as outstanding teacher interns for the fall 2018 semester.

Nominated by their classroom mentor teachers, the award honorees are selected based on their resourcefulness, initiative and effectiveness. Those recognized have demonstrated outstanding teaching performance, professionalism and a high level of commitment to the teaching profession. They completed their teaching internships at various public school systems throughout Mississippi.

All fall graduates, the honorees include (by hometown):

ACKERMAN – Meghan Nicole Ford, kinesiology/physical education.

BILOXI – Elizabeth G. Martel, secondary education/biology.

ENTERPRISE – Chastity N. Galyean, elementary education at MSU-Meridian.

JACKSON, Tennessee – Anna E. Ferrell, elementary education.

MERIDIAN – Brandy D. Culpepper, elementary education at MSU-Meridian.

MIZE – Destiny Hux Austin, elementary education.

NAPLES, New York – Madelaine C. Perry, elementary education.

OCEAN SPRINGS – Catherine Patriquin, music education/instrumental.

OXFORD – Lark Lindley, elementary education.

PONTOTOC – Allison E. Tutor, music education/instrumental.

UNION – Karey S. Williams, special education at MSU-Meridian.
