Licensure Scores
CAEP Outcome Measure 3
All Mississippi educators are required to meet state-established licensure requirements in order to earn initial certification and, where applicable, advanced licensure as a teacher or administrator. These requirements are outlined in the Guidelines for Licensure K–12, the official handbook approved by the Mississippi State Board of Education, which defines the assessments, coursework, and other criteria mandated by law for educator certification. Any revisions to licensure guidelines are subject to formal approval by the State Board of Education.
The reports associated with CAEP Accountability Measure 3 present institutional level licensure assessment outcomes for the Mississippi State University educator preparation program. Specifically, the data include ETS Title II single assessment pass rate results for both initial and advanced programs, as well as summary institutional pass rate information for initial licensure programs. These data provide evidence of completers’ content knowledge and readiness to meet Mississippi licensure standards.
