Summary/Abstract:
This project offers specialized training in physical science concepts and laboratory activities to 11 middle school science teachers on Mississippi State University campus during a four week summer workshop held in June 2009. The workshop provided coverage in: Velocity, forces, work, electricity, magnetism, properties of matter, energy fundamentals, conservation, and global effects. In addition, teacher participants received $1100 worth of laboratory supplies and workshop materials for instructional use in their classroom. The project period began last spring and efforts are being continued until April 2010.
