WORKSHOPS & SHORT COURSES

Workshops and short courses are offered to COE students on a demand basis during the fall and spring regular sessions of the academic school year. We collect surveyed information on what technology and training needs are perceived by our patrons and determine how we can best meet those needs. Workshops typically are scheduled in 2 and 3-hour sessions according to content. Short courses are desgined for intensive training and range anywhere from one day to one week. We cover such topics as Microsoft® Windows® 95, effective presentation design, Internet tools, World Wide Web page design using SG/HT/VRML, and home computing. We also hold sponsored workshops through the Department of Human Resources (for MSU staff only) and the Division of Continuing Education (open to all; some credit hours may apply.)
