COPIER & DUPLICATION SERVICES

General Information

The Instructional Resources Center offers high-speed photocopying services and electronic media usage to the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education, as well as the remaining University community. Copies and dubbing of copyrighted materials for educational use are allowed according to applicable state and federal laws.

The Copier

[PHOTO OF XEROX 1090] Copy services are provided via a Xerox 1090 copier with extensive capabilities for automatic processing of copy jobs. The Center's Xerox 1090 gives you the speed of a print-shop duplicator, at 92 copies per minute. The copier has a Universal Document Handler which accepts practically any original documents. The Automatic Recirculating Document Handler accepts up to 75 originals at a time, in sizes from 8.5 x 11" to 8.5 x 14" in 13-110 lb. bond weights. The Computer Forms Feeder handles up to a 3" stack fanfold at 46 sheets per minute. Copy quality is monitored by microprocessors that automati cally maintain that quality for extended periods of time when running large copy jobs . The 1090 also has a feature which allows scaling of originals down or up in 1% increments, anywhere from 64% to 155% of the original's size. With this copier, you can make copies from 1-sided originals to 2-sided copies, 2-sided to 2-sided, and 2-sided to 1-sided, which is especially useful in creating ov erhead transparencies from 2-sided originals.

Copy Service and Charges

As with most University services, to cover our internal costs, we must charge certain fees for our photocopying service. The fee rate is derived from the current per production cost of consumables (paper, toner, etc.) For details, select from the li st below:

Please note: during busy periods, such as the end of a semester, copy jobs may take several hours to complete. Patron copy jobs are usually completed on a "first come, first served" basis. Please be patient and remember that our staff is here to serve you.
