Departmental Accreditations

• The College of Education is accredited by the National Council on Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education.  Click here to see how the curricula of School Counseling, School Psychology, and Special Education programs are designed to comply with NCATE standards.
• There are five counseling programs in the department:  (a) college counseling, (b) community counseling, (c) rehabilitation counseling, (d) school counseling, and (e) student affairs administration in higher education.  Master's and doctoral degrees are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
• The master's degree in rehabilitation counseling is accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE).
• The school psychology doctoral program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
• The school psychology AAA certification program and doctoral program are accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
