America Reads-Mississippi is an AmeriCorps program that has approximately 270 AmeriCorps members in levels 1 and 2 school districts that provide additional assistance to children in grades K-8 in the area of reading.  Divided into teams, these AmeriCorps members recruit volunteers to assist in the schools, promote parental involvement, and perform various community service projects throughout the year.
