Dr. Watson is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in both Mississippi and North Carolina.  His research interests include counseling expectations, sports counseling, technology in counselor education, self-efficacy, and resistance in the counseling process.   He can teach any required course in the Community Counseling curriculum.  Dr. Watson and fiancé (Ashley) live with a pet dog (burt) and two ferrets (Brit & Glover).  He is an avid fan of the University of Connecticut basketball.
