in the Counselor Education program at Mississippi State University.
Students should apply for all assistance programs that interest them.
More than one award often is possible. Although most awards are made
in the Spring for the next Fall, vacancies occur throughout the year.

- Assistantships for students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours require
20-hours of work per week and pay $618 per month. In-state and out-of-state
tuition may be waived for students on Assistantships. Interested students

- Trainee ships of up to $300 per month plus tuition for students
in Rehabilitation concentrations require no work during the school
year. However, after graduation, students are obligated to work in
a rehabilitation setting two years for each year of traineeship
support. Traineeship application forms

- The Department of
Housing and Residence Life offer 12 Assistantships for Live-In
Residence Hall Directors. These positions pay $4,000 to $5,000 depending
on the size of the residence hall. In addition, Directors receive
a free furnished apartment, all utilities, and local telephone service
as part of their compensation package. Married students, including
those with children, are eligible to apply. Applications are available
