This program of study is accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation
Education (CORE) and it is recognized by the National Council on Rehabilitation
Education (NCRE).
Students in this program gain knowledge and skills to function effectively
as certified rehabilitation counselors. They gain an understanding of
the medical, psychological, and vocational effects of chronic disability.
Also, students learn about accommodations that may be made in the work
place and community that promote integration of people with disabilities.
Additionally, students gain specialized job placement skills that enhance
the probability of successful careers of people with disabilities.
